This Wednesday March 31, live on RTL Play, Kedist Deltour therefore wore the new crown of Miss Belgium 2021. Adopted at the age of 10 in Nazareth, Miss East Flanders lost her young mother and therefore had to be take care of his brother and sister. His career moved the Miss Belgium committee to tears, but also the jury and the presenters of the election. Here is her story, which she tells in her touching portrait visible on RTLPlay.

“I am Kedist, I am 23 years old and I am a hairdresser, begins the one that has just moved to Harelbeke. When I was 10, I was adopted with my little sister and my brother from Ethiopia. My goal as a Miss is to help the children. Not only in countries in need, but also in Belgium … there is poverty. One in 6 children lives in poverty. The fact of having lived this misery gives me the desire to fight against this poverty. As a child, that was the harsh reality. After the death of my mother, I had to grow up quickly and therefore I became the second mother of my brother and my sister. I like to laugh and I like to make other people happy! ”
