This Thursday, the sun was still there, so many people in Brussels have invaded the parks to take advantage of the summer temperatures. In Bois de la Cambre, the situation quickly got out of hand, no less than 5,000 people gathered there. Mainly young people, as we have seen, who party and gather around caissons. “Police, police, we bugger you”, chanted these young revelers in particular. A policewoman, visibly disillusioned, addresses a colleague: “And what do I do?”
For several days, an event on Facebook called “La Boum” invited Internet users to party at Bois de la Cambre. Official information very quickly denied the organization of such an event, qualifying it as “fake. It would seem, however, that many people took the invitation seriously given the number of people present.

For security reasons, the police were still there and were able to see the extent of the situation. A police truck is present and at this very moment is broadcasting a message to all participants in this wild festival: “Attention, the police will disperse the premises, all people will be liable to receive a ticket.” A pumper arrived on the scene and the police are trying to disperse the crowd, especially on horseback.

At 5:40 p.m., the police seemed to have trouble containing the situation, describes the journalist from La DH present on the spot. A face to face with some demonstrators is engaged, some threw bottles on the police.
