Open last weekend for the first time in hall 8 of the former Toulouse Exhibition Center on the Ile du Ramier, the vaccinodrome will operate during the week, from Wednesday, two days after the weekend of Easter. The opening, which was officially announced by the prefecture this Thursday, April 1, was in preparation. It became reality the day after the speech of the President of the Republic calling again to speed up vaccination.

In its press release, the prefecture specifies that the opening will be effective seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., therefore from this Wednesday, April 7, still in hall 8 of the former exhibition center (allées Fernand Jourdant). “A large number of vaccination lines will be opened. They have been set up thanks to the remarkable commitment of several dozen volunteers from the SAMU31, SDIS31, voluntary associations of civil security and the Army Health Service, and many health professionals, doctors, nurses and students, ”adds the prefecture.

4250 doses administered over a weekend

“The 31 vaccination centers which cover the territory of Haute-Garonne are also increasing their capacity to vaccinate from this week”, further advances the prefecture. The whole thing should give a serious boost to the vaccination campaign, as the government wishes, made possible by the large deliveries of doses in this month of April.

During the weekend of March 27 and 28, the Toulouse vaccinodrome allowed the injection of 4,250 doses of Pfizer vaccine to people who had made an appointment. For next weekend, when 2,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine per day are expected to be injected, the appointments have already been assigned.

For slots open next week, making an appointment is still essential, either by phone at 0.800.54.19.19, or via the Keldoc online platform. As a reminder, these vaccination slots are aimed at people over the age of 70, but also at people aged 18-74 with a very high-risk pathology of severe form of Covid-19 and at people aged 50 to 54. with comorbidities.

“For Hall 8, appointments will be possible from this evening (Thursday, editor’s note). 14,000 appointments will be opened gradually in order to allow everyone to register more easily”, concludes the prefecture.
