Slimane: the singer confides in the death of his roommate, murdered in a park

Slimane gave an interview to Paris Match. He reveals one of the traumas he experienced: the murder of his roommate in a park …

Since his victory in The Voice in 2016, life seems to smile at Slimane which connects successes. Yet behind the singer’s sweet face hides a deep wound as he revealed in the columns of Paris Match. As the reporter asked him about his sins, Vitaa’s sidekick confided to be “a big party animal” : “I wrote Do not leave me because my roommate was murdered in a park. Sometimes we get lost …“he regrets without giving more details on this terrible ordeal. But no question for the interpreter ofAt the end of dreams to sink into depression: “I’m lucky to never drop out because I got this light, friends and I am happy, he says before continuing, I’ve seen too many people let themselves die of drugs or bad company. I am a staunch defender of life. My worst fear would be to come to the end and say to myself: ‘You did not live’.

Slimane: “I am hypersensitive”

Trials that Slimane also manages to overcome by writing songs, like therapy. “I am hypersensitive, he admits in the columns of the weekly, I have always found myself different, not beautiful. Even though at school I was outgoing and funny, I got good grades. So I did kind of what I wanted. But it was above all deep within me that I felt this.

The singer is currently back on the front of the stage with the release, this Monday, April 5, of the resumption of Belle, the emblematic title of the musical Notre-Dame de Paris, with Gims and Dadju. A trio that had already collaborated for another cover, that of the title Beautiful Hello. And success should, once again, be there since barely four days after its release, the clip already has more than 2.5 million views on Youtube.
