Netflix announces the departure of Jodie Turner-Smith from Blood Origin, the prequel to The Witcher. Indeed, the star would no longer be able to play in the series for scheduling reasons even though the shooting had to be postponed. “Due to a change in the production schedule of the series The Witcher : Blood Origin, Jodie Turner-Smith will unfortunately no longer be able to continue in the role of Eile, ”Netflix announced in a statement released by Deadline.
The platform will therefore have to replace the star of Queen & Slim to embody the role of Eile, a fierce warrior who left her clan and who pursues a quest for revenge and redemption.
A river year
An unfortunate start, but understandable when you take a look at Jodie Turner-Smith’s program for the rest of the year. In the coming months, we will be able to see the actress playing After Yang alongside Colin Farrell, in the movie Amazon Without Remorse with Michael B. Jordan or in a British mini-series in which she plays Anne Boleyn, the second wife of the infamous King Henry VIII.
His non-participation in The Witcher’s prequel shouldn’t have an impact on his career.
