Classification of the investigation against Francis Lalanne who had called to “put the State out of harm’s way”

The Paris prosecutor’s office has closed an investigation opened at the end of January against the singer Francis Lalanne who had called “to put the state out of harm’s way”.

Following a column published on the online site “France soir” on January 22, the prosecution had opened an investigation for “provocation to the commission of attacks on the fundamental interests of the Nation”, entrusted to the Repression Brigade of delinquency to people (BRDP) who had heard the singer on February 5.

In this forum, the latter called to “put the state out of state to harm the French people” and demanded the “dismissal” of Emmanuel Macron.

“The government is insidiously committing a coup in the name of Covid; and is preparing to institute tyranny as an avatar of the Republic, unbeknownst to the French people, ”he also argued.

The prosecution deemed the offense insufficiently characterized, according to Me Emmanuel Ludot, for whom “this decision is logical”. “The prosecution does not want to put oil on the fire. I draw a parallel with Corine Masiero. It is the same approach: a cry of alarm on the current situation of the artists and intermittents of the spectacle ”, he added.

Francis Lalanne, several times a candidate for elections in the past under the environmental banner, is a support for the “yellow vests” movement.
