Conceicao finds Chelsea defeat illogical

Sergio Conceicao, the coach of FC Porto, showed his regrets after the Portuguese club’s defeat against Chelsea (0-2) on Wednesday night in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League.

Faced with the press, the Portuguese coach of the Dragons explained that the result did not reflect the face of the meeting, won by Londoners Thomas Tuchel on two goals from Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell. “I think we had a good game. The projections for the second leg have not changed, they are the same as the ones we had before the first leg. We believe in what we do, we trust our team. As for the game strategy, I think we were tactically strong tonight (yesterday). But there were two individual errors which resulted in two goals for the opponent. We deserved better than the result we got. We didn’t deserve to lose 2-0 at half-time in this matchup. “

Next Tuesday, the Portuguese will meet the Blues in Seville with the ambition of offering themselves a new European feat, after the elimination of Juventus Turin in the round of 16.
