The iPhone 12 is so successful now that it should explode the previous sales records set by Apple!
Who would still dare to doubt Apple? If a few years ago, with the rise of Asian competitors, the Cupertino company seemed to be on the decline in the smartphone sector, it has since turned around. And in a very beautiful way! We have thus seen that its previous iPhone 11 flagship – currently available with a nice promotion – was the best-selling smartphone in the world in 2020. A success, of size, and which could nevertheless appear to be quite modest compared to to what the global success of the current iPhone 12 series of smartphones should be!
Indeed, according to Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, sales of these smartphones should exceed expectations – already very high -. So, while Wall Street expects Apple to sell a total of 220 million models, Dan Ives does, relying on the fact that 350 million iPhone users would be “in an upgrade window of opportunity”, and therefore willing to change smartphones, explains that iPhone sales could reach 240 or even 250 million units in 2021. An unprecedented wave carried by the iPhone 12, and which would crush the 2015 record and its 231 million iPhones sold. A prognosis in line with the figures for the last quarter of 2020, during which Apple had risen to the first place of telephone sellers.
