Patek Philippe is showcasing its legendary Nautilus collection. While the year 2021 heralds the end of the reference 5711 / 1A series, this steel model has a brand new olive green “sun” dial. This elegant sport icon is also available, in its steel version, with an olive green “sun” dial and bezel set with baguette diamonds. The Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph reference 5990/1 is dressed in rose gold paired with a blue “sun” dial, while a new Nautilus Haute Joaillerie paved with snow-set diamonds takes off.
Launched in 1976, the Nautilus created a surprise in many ways. The choice of steel, a metal then unprecedented for a luxury watch. An octagonal bezel with soft angles, a far cry from the usual designs. A housing construction inspired by a boat porthole. Unparalleled robustness and water resistance to 120 m – a feat at the time for a production watch. And a beautiful alternation of polished and satin finishes highlighting the originality of the shapes.

With a stamped horizontal relief dial and an integrated bracelet with tapering side links from the case to the clasp, the Nautilus quickly established itself as the perfect embodiment of elegant sport – and as one of the most popular watch designs. more recognizable in the world.
This unique style, subtly retouched in 2006 for the 30th anniversary of the collection, is now available in a collection for men and women of more than 25 references in steel, pink gold, white gold or two-tone (steel / gold rose), on metallic or alligator bracelets, easily accompanying the most active lives.
In addition to the three-hand and date versions, the current Nautilus collection offers five complication models combining sporting spirit and technical sophistication. Reference 5712 with date by hand, moon phases and power reserve indication. Reference 5980 with self-winding flyback chronograph. Reference 5726 with patented Annual Calendar, 24-hour indication and moon phases. The Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph reference 5990 with dual time zone, flyback chronograph and date by hand. The Reference 5740 Nautilus perpetual calendar – a Grande Complication which is also the thinnest perpetual calendar in the Patek Philippe collections.
Artistically reworked in 2009, the Nautilus Dames models are distinguished by their smaller size and by refinements that give sporty elegance a decidedly feminine touch – such as rounded hands and indexes and smooth or diamond-set bezels, completed since 2013 by dials with stamped relief forming small waves. Without forgetting dazzling Haute Joaillerie versions.
To mark the kick-off of Watches and Wonders Geneva 2021, in which it is participating for the first time, Patek Philippe is enriching its Nautilus collection with four new versions of existing models. Four variations on a unique design that has lost none of its daring and originality.
Nautilus reference 5711 / 1A-014: a new olive green “sun” dial
The flagship Nautilus model in steel, reference 5711 / 1A, introduced in 2006 for the 30th anniversary of the collection, was first offered with a black gradient blue dial (reference 5711 / 1A-001 from 2006 to 2009, reference 5711 / 1A -010 from 2010), completed from 2012 to 2019 by a silvery white dial (reference 5711 / 1A-011). To this was added in 2015 a version in pink gold with a black gradient brown dial (reference 5711 / 1R-001).
At a time when the reference 5711 / 1A in steel is expected to leave the collection soon, Patek Philippe is unveiling a brand new olive-green dial on this cult model – a color never seen before in the Nautilus collection. This elegant shade, enhanced by a fine “sun” decor, forms a refined accord with the reflections of steel, giving a contemporary touch to the design. It also ensures optimal readability, day and night, by offering a perfect contrast with the white gold applied indexes and hands underlined by a luminescent coating.
The original architecture of the Nautilus is enhanced by the subtle play of satin-brushed and polished endings on the bezel, case and bracelet – manual finishing requiring 55 operations for each watch.
Within the waterproof case to 120 m beats the self-winding caliber 26-330 SC, present since 2019 on the 5711 model. Derived from the caliber 324 SC, this new movement has been endowed with several technical innovations and optimizations relating in particular to the reassembly. It also stands out with its “stop second” function, which allows time setting to the nearest second. A sapphire crystal caseback allows you to admire the refined architecture of the movement as well as its very neat finishes, in the great Patek Philippe tradition.
The new reference 5711 / 1A-014 with the olive green “sun” dial replaces the reference 5711 / 1A-010 with the blue gradient black dial and joins the reference 5711 / 1R001 in pink gold in the collection.
Nautilus reference 5711 / 1300A-001: a unique alliance between steel and baguette diamonds
With the new reference 5711 / 1300A-001, Patek Philippe signs an original association: that of steel and baguette-cut diamonds, which are usually set in precious metals. The characteristic shape of the bezel and of the case is emphasized by a row of 32 baguette-cut diamonds in Top Wesselton Pure quality (~ 3.6 ct) set in accordance with the rules of the art. Very refined detail: each baguette diamond requires a particular cut, slightly trapezoidal, rather than perfectly rectangular, in order to fit into this octagonal cut with soft angles.

The fire of diamonds also sheds light on the brand new olive-green dial introduced this year on the reference 5711 / 1A-014. Animated by a stamped horizontal relief, signature of the Nautilus collection, this unique dial features a “sun” finish. The applied indexes and the “rounded stick” -type hands in white gold with a luminescent coating ensure excellent readability at any time of the day or night.
The case and the integrated bracelet hug the wrist flexibly, offering great wearing comfort. Their volumes are enhanced, as on all Nautilus models, by the alternation of manual satin and polished finishes.
Water-resistant to 120 m, the reference 5711 / 1300A-001 houses the same new self-winding caliber 26-330 SC as the reference 5711 / 1A-014 – a mechanism visible through a transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph reference 5990 / 1R-001: a new interpretation in pink gold with blue “sun” dial
Launched in 2014 in a steel version with a black gradient dial around the rim, the Nautilus reference 5990/1 combines three useful and easy-to-use complications: a flyback chronograph, a Travel Time function (dual time zone) and a time indicator. date by hand (at 12 o’clock) coupled with local time. Patek Philippe is offering this model in a new version in pink gold offering a nice contrast with the blue “sun” dial with its horizontal stamped relief, fitted with applied indexes and pink gold hands with a luminescent coating.

The CH 28-520 C FUS self-winding chronograph caliber fitted to this model, water-resistant to 120 m, combines tradition (column-wheel control) and avant-garde (disc clutch). The central seconds hand is completed by a 60-minute counter positioned at 6 o’clock. The flyback function makes it possible to instantly restart a new “in-flight” timing when the chronograph is already running. All you have to do is press directly on the reset button at 4 o’clock, without having to stop the hands first using the pusher at 2 o’clock.
The Travel Time system has two central hour hands. The perforated hand indicates home time, the full hand indicates local time. When traveling or to play around with time zones, the user can add a second time zone to his watch by adjusting the local time hand forward or backward, in one hour increments, at the end of the day. ‘using the two pushbuttons “+” and “-” housed in the side of the case at 9 o’clock. During this time, the perforated hand continues to indicate the home time. This ingenious mechanism is completed by two day / night indications in small counters surmounted by the LOCAL and HOME inscriptions. When he is in his country of usual residence, or no longer needs to know the time in another time zone, the user can, by means of a very simple manipulation, again superimpose the two hands hours, which then form only one.
The pink gold bracelet, sublimated – like the case and the bezel – by the alternation of satin and polished finishes, is equipped with a patented Patek Philippe folding clasp secured by four independent attachment points. The new reference 5990 / 1R-001 in pink gold joins the reference 5990 / 1A in steel in the Nautilus collection.
Nautilus Haute Joaillerie reference 7118 / 1450R-001: a new version of the Nautilus set with snow
The iconic design of the Nautilus Dames has been declined in various Haute Joaillerie versions set with brilliant or baguette-cut diamonds. Patek Philippe notably offered from 2013 to 2018 a model in pink gold entirely paved with snow-set diamonds, including the dial (reference 7021 / 1R-001).
The manufacture continues in this precious vein by unveiling a new model in pink gold also enhanced with snow-set diamonds on the case, bezel and bracelet, but equipped with a unique dial where the rows of stones are inscribed in the relief. small waves typical of the Nautilus Ladies collection. Second difference: the case has a slightly larger size (diameter 10h-4h 35.2mm, compared to 33.6mm on the previous model).

$ The new Nautilus Haute Joaillerie reference 7118 / 1450R-001 shines with 2,553 brilliant-cut diamonds (~ 12.69 ct) in Top Wesselton Pure quality. This garment of light celebrates the rare technique of snow setting, also called random setting. This very sophisticated know-how, perfectly mastered by the craftsmen of the manufacture, consists in freely marrying diamonds of various diameters in order to leave a minimum of gold surface between the stones. Each snow-set watch is thus presented as a unique creation.
For perfect readability (an essential requirement at Patek Philippe, even on a Haute Joaillerie watch), the dial is fitted with “alpha” type hour and minute hands in pink gold with luminescent coating and indexes and Arabic numerals. sconces in the same metal, also luminescent.
The pink gold case houses the self-winding caliber 324 S with very meticulous finishes visible through a transparent sapphire crystal caseback. In addition to combining elegance and comfort, the 18 ct gold bracelet is fitted with a patented Patek Philippe folding clasp secured by four independent attachment points.
