MSI announces new equipment

The manufacturer MSI has formalized several materials: Summit E13 Flip Evo, Summit E16 Flip, 2nd generation Docking Station and finally MSI Pen.

Summit E13 Flip Evo is a 2-in-1 laptop: computer and tablet. It integrates several Intel chips: Core i7, Iris Xe for the graphics part. The laptop incorporates the latest generation of Wifi, Wifi 6. Of course, the new Intel chips promise better performance. On the connection, few surprises: USB-C, USB 3 but also 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports and the essential audio jack. On the storage side, MSI promises very good performance with the PCI-E gen4 SSD. The E16 Flip model is also a convertible computer / tablet. The graphics card is an Nvidia and not an Intel chip. The connection is as interesting as the E13 Flip Evo.

Evo is a platform defined by Intel which must provide precise specifications: reactivity of the machine in any situation, waking up in 1 second, 9h autonomy in full HD, 30 minutes charge for 4 hours of autonomy, Wifi 6 and Thunderbolt 4.

MSI Pen is a stylus specially designed for the Summit range. It is easily attached to the shell via a magnet. The advertised autonomy is 65 hours. MSI highlights its weight (13.5g), a wide user angle.

Finally, MSI announces a new USB-C dock: Docking Station Gen2. It offers USB 3, USB 2, USB-C (10 Gb / s), DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI, 1 Gb Ethernet ports. The dock delivers 100W charging power for laptops only. In short, a practical dock to avoid saturating the ports of your laptop. It can support up to 3 screens. Too bad it doesn’t offer Thunderbolt ports.
