NACON acquires the Lyon studio Passtech Games

(AOF) – Nacon has announced that it has finalized the signing of an acquisition protocol for the Passtech Games studio. Its team of developers specialize in creating rogue-like action games. The video game publisher explains that this acquisition contributes to strengthening its editorial positioning in the very promising niches of games intended for the most committed gamers, on PC as on consoles.

Sylvain Passot, director and founder of the studio, will continue to lead the Passtech team while enjoying a great deal of autonomy in order to be able to focus on the creative aspect of his productions, while benefiting from the commercial, editorial and marketing contribution. teams from Nacon.
Created in 2012, Passtech has forged its experience by developing several games (Space Run, Space Run Galaxy, Masters of Anima) on different platforms before specializing in rogue-like action games with Curse of the Dead Gods, recently released.

Nacon’s “Video games” division will thus have 11 development sites (7 in France, 1 in Belgium, 1 in Italy, 1 in Canada and 1 in Australia) totaling around 500 developers, supported by a publishing team of 60 people.
